Quick Country Coleslaw Recipe

Description

A creamy slaw is an excellent complement to any meat sandwich and pairs exceptionally well with BBQ pork because it adds a touch of sweetness that complements the smoky flavors without overpowering them. Coleslaw is also an easy recipe to make, with just a few simple ingredients!


Ingredients

  • 1 white cabbage (or purple)
  • 1 red onion
  • 4 carrots
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp paprika

Instructions

  1. Clean the cabbage – remove the outer leaves and dense core. Slice the cabbage and add to a large mixing bowl.
  2. Peel and grate the carrots, and thinly slice the onion. Place both in the mixing bowl.
  3. Mix the Dijon mustard, mayo, and vinegar together with the paprika and salt in a smaller bowl.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the vegetables in the large mixing bowl and stir thoroughly to combine.
  5. Eat immediately or refrigerate for up to 3 days.
